A shutdown planner is required for the preparation and issue of the 2010 shutdown plan for a North Sea rig. The shutdown is due to commence in September and the successful candidate will be expected to be based in Aberdeen for the duration.
This is largely an office-based role but offshore visits are essential. The contract will last at least to the end of 2010, with a possible extension into the new year.
Key tasks include: • working closely with the shutdown coordinator in the preparation and implementation of a safe and efficient shutdown • preparing and distributing forecasts and plans for all shutdown work activities

A candidate should have: • a qualification in an engineering discipline at HNC level or above • a working knowledge of Primavera P6 • experience of North Sea shutdowns • up-to-date offshore survival and medical certificates
