Talented engineer required for lucrative contract position The role Our client requires a spares engineer to work at one of its Aberdeen bases. Key duties are: • identifying the necessary spare parts to maintain safety and production • managing, proposing and developing sparing strategies Secondary responsibilities include: • carrying out inspections and reviews to establish conditions and levels of stock items • producing reports on the state of spare provision • developing stock replenishment guidelines for spares • operating spares analysis software (APT) • technically describing spare parts to those responsible for the input of stock catalogues The company Based in Scotland, our client is an international energy services provider. The person The ideal candidate has the following qualities: Education: • qualified to HNC level or above in an engineering discipline Experience: • sound knowledge of the operation of a typical offshore installation • experience in a similar position • familiarity with APT or equivalent spares software • experience in the development of spares strategy Skills: • strong communicator • awareness of safety and quality standards • effective planner The rewards The successful candidate would receive excellent rates that reflect their experience. |
