Exciting long-term opportunity The role An onshore marine coordinator is required for a long-term position in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be expected to provide all aspects of day-to-day marine operational support to both offshore personnel and other disciplines within onshore operations and support teams. Key responsibilities include: Logistics • coordinating all marine activity associated with offshore facilities • liaising with logistics, procurement and warehousing departments with respect to offshore supplies and equipment • coordinating inspection, testing and maintenance on all marine systems and equipment in concert with the overall FPSO integrity coordinator • organising campaign maintenance and vendor mobilisations Quality control • reviewing maintenance strategies and routines • identifying recurring problems • preparing periodic reports • liaising with construction department to provide optimum solutions Health and safety • identifying risk Other • attending asset meetings and applicable industry events After a sufficient familiarisation period, the successful candidate will be expected to act as marine technical authority. The person Candidates should have: • a STCW certificate of competence (not necessarily current) • relevant seagoing experience on tankers, FSOs or FPSOs • onshore management experience in the tanker, FPSO or offshore industries • current offshore survival and medical certificates A marine or offshore related engineering degree is desirable but not essential.
