Half Dome Screen Wraps Games and Movies Around You PDF Print E-mail

Ha, this looks awesome. This half dome projector screen is big enough for two people to sit in front of, and isn't just a damn prototype-the California company behind it actually has them for sale. The dome screen measures 3 by 6 feet, and uses a special 18-inch mirror to reflect the image from your projector that's hidden away on the outside. In the pic above you can see the little hole that the projector beams through, but in the video below they've just clumped it on the desk. The screen ain't super cheap at $1440 (including international delivery), but that's still about $3000 less than some similar products we've seen in the past. If you're a gaming junkie (particularly with racers or flight sims), have a projector lying around, and don't mind a little bit of skewed perspective around the edges, then this might be an alternative to a big screen HDTV. Maybe. Oh, fun fact: An inflated outdoor (8 by 16 foot) version is also available for your crazy backyard hi jinks.

Sultan of Brunei's unique Lamborghini LM002 wagon up for sale PDF Print E-mail

Filed under: Car Buying, Performance, SUV, Lamborghini, Military, Celebrities, Off-Road The Sultan of Brunei's one-off Lamborghini LM002 wagon - Click above for image gallery It's not every day that a Lamborghini LM002 goes up for sale. The sole crossover (no pun intended) between Lambo's tractor and supercar divisions, the LM002 forged the path for later exotic sport-utes like the Porsche Cayenne and Spyker D8 Peking-to-Paris SSUV decades earlier. But the Rambo Lambo, as it was known, was sold as a four-door short-bed pickup of sorts. That didn't cut it for the famously car crazy Sultan of Brunei, who apparently had this custom LM002 wagon built to his specifications. It can seat seven in exotic opulence, complete with leather upholstery, burlwood veneer, television screens, DVD players, electric everything...oh, and a 450 horsepower V12 borrowed from the Countach. Not too shabby, especially for a sport-ute from 1987. This particular LM is said to be the only one of its kind, and it was reportedly owned by former BMW and Volkswagen chief Bernd Pischetsrieder after it left Brunei. It's now available for purchase in Germany at an undisclosed price, and is sure to terrify the other SUVs at your kid's soccer practice - to say nothing of the gas stations you're sure to frequent with this sort of beast. VIDEO: We cringe as Acura NSX does its best surfacing submarine imitation PDF Print E-mail

Filed under: Coupe, Performance, Etc., Videos, Acura Acura NSX Submarine - Click above to watch the video after the jump The Acura NSX is rare enough that you rarely see them on the streets. When we saw a mint condition NSX trolling the streets of Woodward during the Dream Cruise, we were reminded of just how much road presence Acura's first and only supercar actually has. If we owned a a mint condition NSX, we might reasonably be tempted to avoid driving it the weather forecast even hinted at rain, but unfortunately not all drivers appear to exercise care in wet weather. Hit the jump to watch a beautiful NSX as it trudges through what looks to be nearly two feet of standing water. At one point, the water, which came as the result of a torrential downpour in Orange Park, Forida, was up to the side mirrors. The real payoff, when the video goes from sad anger-inducing to hilarious comes about 33 seconds in, when you can clearly see water pouring out of the closed doors of the NSX. It stuns us to think that someone would think it would be a good idea to drive a low-slung supercar through a flood zone, but it probably shouldn't.
