Giraffe Recruitment recognise the importance of a skilled and experienced administration team to ensure the smooth running of any business, and have successfully placed people in a number of administrative roles. We recruit accounts staff with experience of purchase or sales ledger, credit control and general accounts. We have also placed receptionists, secretaries and administrators from junior to senior, and PAs for company directors both on a permanent and contract basis.
Our petrochemical clients approach us for extra temporary administrative help at peak times, or during a shutdown when planned maintenance means the workforce is temporarily increased significantly to cope with the extra work. During these times we often look for timekeepers to enter and correlate data from timesheets, and administrators to help with the planning and smooth running of the project. Good communication skills, an eye for detail and a willingness to work on a petrochemical site is important in these roles.
Document controllers are often required by our engineering clients, this work may be at a junior level to assist with photocopying and filing of documents, up to senior Document Controllers who may be working in the UK, abroad or offshore and who have many years experience, these candidates are able to attract a rate to match their significant experience. Candidates for senior positions who have experience of DMS, Document Management Systems are preferred.
Qualities we look for in our administration candidates are accuracy, communication skills, good timekeeping and knowledge of Microsoft Office, i.e. Word and Excel and for secretaries and PAs, Powerpoint is often requested. For front of house and high profile candidates, personal presentation skills are valued.

Giraffe Recruitment will pay you weekly into your bank account and send you a pay slip each week detailing your pay and deductions. We will deduct and administer your PAYE tax and national insurance for you, and pay you holiday pay in line with current employment legislation.
